Check out these three highlights:

1. Daniel shares some of the projects he is working on to bring awareness to social issues in relation to strength and conditioning.

"The main thing that I would love to see out of all of this, in addition to policy change, is conversation. We are long overdue for just national conversations on race and how it functions for all of us."

2. Daniel speaks to the language coaches can use and the significance of open conversations with athletes. This can help build respect between coaches and athlete to create a stronger relationship based on trust. A great way to start these conversation is by asking questions such as, "where are you from?" and just getting to know the athlete better.

"The athletes we work with are a very diverse group of folks all across the country so athletes need to see them represented in their coaches. They need to be able to communicate in an effective way and in a way that makes sense to them and their coach needs to be able to understand them."

3. Daniel shares advice on communicating effectively with athletes and teams to resolve offending athletes or making mistakes. Coaches need to own the situation and what happened to work with the athlete to move forward."

"I think we need to press people to actually talk about what they mean."
