Building Blocks: Agility Series

Written by BridgeAthletic | Nov 24, 2015 2:54:01 PM

This week's Building Block is an Agility and coordination workout - 5-exercise workout challenging your coordination and motor control.
Ladders 2 Feet In

The agility ladder is a great way to improve agility and train footspeed and quickness. This drill is an entry-level drill that is a little tougher than just running through the ladders, but easy enough for athletes of all levels to start with. Start off slowly and work on doing the drill correctly. As your rhythm improves and you start to feel more comfortable performing the drill, pick up the speed. Focus on staying light on your toes, not digging them into the turf or ground on each step. Doing this increases the quality of the movement. Repeat this drill leading with your left foot as to help promote balance.
